Hello all, and welcome to the Phi Lambda Theta chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity located at Bucknell University! As an award-winning chapter of Chi Phi, our brothers define themselves by the strong core values rooted in who we are as brothers of Chi Phi: Truth, Honor, and Personal Integrity. Our values are known through our unmatched level of involvement on campus, our extensive community work through service, and our philanthropy with the Boys and Girls Club of America. Chi Phi at Bucknell started as a local fraternity, Phi Lambda Theta, as they were known for their commitment to improving their community through traditions such as Special Olympics; a tradition we continue to hold very closely to this day.
In a time where fraternities are often poorly received, I am extremely proud to say that the Phi Lambda Theta chapter stands out as an organization not afraid to make the necessary movements and changes to ensure the health, safety, and security of our brothers and Bucknell’s student body. Our strong new member education and recruitment process works to build our fraternity with each new class and continue to improve our morals and involvement on campus as previously defined by our past alumni. The Phi Lambda Theta chapter’s alumni are crucial to who we are, and how we continue to succeed today – we want to connect with you! My father, Rich McFadden, graduated Bucknell in the class of 1987 and was a member of the founding pledge class of the Chi Phi Phi Lambda Theta chapter in 1984. Upon my initiation and election as Alpha, he has found it rather enriching through his reconnection with the active chapter to see it continue to thrive as he originally intended. Reach out and reconnect with your past!
I encourage you to use our website to learn about our chapter, the accomplishments we have achieved, reconnect with the active chapter, or donate to some piece of the chapter that you would like to create or see preserved for the future of Chi Phi at Bucknell University.
